The main problem for people who live with either aged, disabled or unwell people in a multi-storey home can be moving these people up and down the stairs. The other choices are having someone engaged full-time to aid them with moving around the house, getting a room or bathroom built downstairs for their use, or changing houses. Since none of these ideas are incredibly viable, and some of these are tremendously expensive, in particular if you have a large mortgage or cannot modify the layout of your home.
